The primary purpose of the Equipment Handler position is to maintain an inventory of equipment on each unit/service area that prevents delays in patient treatments. The role also supports the Director of Special Projects with work
related to equipment and supplies and as needed.
High School Diploma or GED certificate required. New Jersey Driver’s License preferred. Ability to read, write, speak, understand and/or communicate in English sufficiently to perform job duties. Six (6) months of related experience preferably in a hospital environment.
Ability to communicate with a variety of patients and health care professionals. Must be able to walk and stand for long periods, push carts with bulky materials and supplies. Pull, lift, and bend with hand and eye coordination and in compliance with PM&R Physical
Assessment. Must be able to pass body Mechanics Physical Assessment during probationary period. Successful completion of training must be obtained during probationary period. Ability to complete CPR instruction. Must be able to respond to changing staffing needs
and shift rotations with required advance notification.
