The primary purpose of the Cardiovascular Technician position is to provide direct patient care, perform as a scrub person during Cath Lab procedures, perform hemodynamic and physiologic monitoring, assist in the preparation of the procedural room and set-up of table and equipment for procedures, under the direction and supervision of a Physician and Registered Nurse.
High school or equivalent required. Graduation of an accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology or its equivalent; or successful completion of the Cardiovascular Technologist Internship program within the Department of Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. A minimum of two (2) years of Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory experience including cardiac hemodynamic and physiologic monitoring and providing first line sterile assistance during the diagnostic and/or interventional procedure. CVT or RCVT highly desirable. Current BLS (CPR) certification is required.
