Responsibilities

The Senior Hospital Applications Analyst (Epic Resolute Research and Beacon Analysis) is responsible for the support of the Epic Research and Beacon modules. The analyst will leverage their expertise in Epic Research and Beacon billing regulations to analyze data, identify, and resolve billing discrepancies, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. The analyst will utilize their knowledge of the entire workflow and critical components from recruitment, research‐patient tracking, scheduling and treatment workflows to research billing and how each component interacts and intersects with core functionality of Epic applications in order to design and support the organization’s workflows related to research patients more effectively. Fundamental responsibilities of this position will include collaborating with researchers, investigators, and billing specialists to ensure clear communication and address any billing concerns.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree preferred in a health‐related discipline (Nursing, Pharmacy, etc.), Computer Science, Business Administration, Liberal Arts, Science, or related field. In leu of a degree, three (3) years of experience in information systems with preference given to candidates from a patient care environment. Direct experience with electronic medical records is preferred. Prior Epic experience in building Research and or Beacon content is highly desirable. Two (2) plus years of experience in research is preferred. Must complete certification on an Epic application specified by management within 6 months of training. Ability to maintain and assist in managing project work plans. Demonstrated interpersonal skills working in a service‐oriented environment. Effective written and oral communications a must. Established organizational and problem‐solving skills are required. Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirements. Additional relevant experience, or clinical expertise, may be substituted for information systems experience.
