The primary purpose of the Radiation Therapist is to participate in a variety of patient care and non-patient care duties involved in the planning and administration of radiation therapy to patients. This individual ensures that patients are treated with meticulous accuracy, promptness and professionalism. This individual will also interact with attending physicians, physicists, as well as other hospital personnel, to assure quality patient management.
Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT). Graduate of an approved AMA program. Current New Jersey Radiation Therapy License or temporary license until the ARRT exam is successfully completed within three months of hire Is required. Experience in state-of-the-art radiation therapy modalities is required. BLS is required.
