Responsibilities

A Master’s Degree in a Health Care field, Public Health, Business Administration or a related field required, plus four (4) years of progressively responsible professional experience in a health care or education environment, or a large business or government agency required.  Or a Bachelor’s Degree in a Health Care field, Public Health, Business Administration or a related field required, plus six (6) years of progressively responsible professional experience in a health care or education environment, or a large business or government agency required.  Experience must include at least three years in a leadership or managerial capacity.  Experience with hospital based and/or faculty practice organizations required.  Familiarity with Title X guidelines and the grant application process a plus.  Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Knowledge and experience with LEAN, or Six Sigma strongly preferred.

Qualifications

The Administrative Director provides comprehensive administrative oversight and leadership of assigned areas.  Sets goals and inspires others to achieve them.  Designs, plans, directs, evaluates and controls department activities and functions consistent with the strategic vision for Ambulatory Care Services.  Oversees all employees in the department.  Responsible for strategic and sound business decisions to facilitate program development.  Ensures safe, efficient and effective delivery of health care for all individuals cared for in the department.  Assures compliance with financial, quality, UH compliance, UH Policy & Procedures, and leads towards achievement of organizational and regulatory goals.  Responsible for the budget and revenue cycle.  Visionary and innovative leader in teamwork, change management and performance improvement.  Ability to deliver under pressure and challenge the status quo in a matrix organization with diverse stakeholders.
