Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Clinic Nurse Manager to oversee clinical and operational functions within our Ambulatory Care Center. The Clinic Nurse Manager will play a key leadership role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care while maintaining the smooth operations of the clinic. This individual will be responsible for managing clinical staff, improving patient throughput, ensuring regulatory compliance, overseeing budgetary indicators, and fostering a healthy work environment for our healthcare team.

Responsibilities

  • Managing nursing and clinical operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational and personnel policies and procedures to ensure effective clinic operations. Exercises broad oversight over patient throughput, provider performance, and clinical/support services.
  • Providing quality assurance and compliance by ensuring adherence to the State Board of Nursing Practice Act and other governing regulations, including National Patient Safety Goals. Regularly measures health outcomes against established standards, making or recommending adjustments as necessary to improve care quality.
  • Monitoring budget indicators within the assigned clinic area to ensure financial viability and the delivery of cost-effective, high-quality care.
  • Managing clinic supply inventory by analyzing usage reports, identifying trends, anticipating needs, and approving requisitions and cost allocations to maintain optimal supply levels.
  • Maintaining a cooperative work environment by supporting Healthy Work Environment concepts, fostering open communication, and building rapport with clinical staff. Participates in team problem-solving initiatives and ensures team effectiveness through coaching, counseling, and performance evaluations.
  • Developing and sustaining an environment that supports a culture of inquiry and excellence in clinical nursing practice and patient care through planning and implementation of care delivery and performance improvement programs that result in positive patient care outcomes
  • Sustaining staff effectiveness through coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action when necessary. Performs staff evaluations and provides ongoing mentorship and leadership development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of New Jersey.
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a clinical leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required. Ambulatory Nurse Certification (RN-BC) is desirable and preferred within 2 years of hire.
  • Strong leadership abilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Bilingual skills preferred.
  • Prior experience with clinical supervision/leadership and active participation on a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

 

Work Environment & Conditions:

  • Full-time position, Monday through Friday.
  • Fast-paced clinical environment requiring the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
