Responsibilities

The primary purpose of the Data Control Clerk II position is to perform answer and route incoming calls to the hospital's main number, emergency lines and patient information lines. Demonstrates service excellence by providing accurate information regarding the Hospital, its patients and staff while ensuring adherence to all Hospital policies and procedures, especially those regarding privacy and confidentiality. Assists in maintaining up-to-date computerized databases and on-call schedules in a timely fashion. Responsible for dispatching services to respond to callers and entering data into the Work Ticket Management system. Receives and activates routine and emergency notification requests, such as overhead paging announcements, activation of pagers, and initiation of emergency codes. Identifies and summarizes key issues and data trends.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED Certification required. Two (2) years of clerical/data entry experience, preferably in a customer service-oriented setting. Detail oriented with excellent telephone etiquette required. Must be a team player with strong time and stress management skills. Strong problem solving and conflict de-escalation skill. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills a must. Knowledge of personal computer applications required. Additional customer service experience may be substituted for clerical experience at management’s discretion. Prefered bilingual
