The primary purpose of the Cafeteria Cashier position is to provide routine retail cashiering services for cash and charge sales within the guidelines set by the Department with extreme emphasis on customer service, speed of service and accuracy. General assistance in the Cafeteria, Catering and Food and Nutrition Department as the business demands including duties of a Food Service Associate.
High School Diploma or GED Certificate is required. One (1) year of cash/charge handling experience required. Customer service and hospitality-oriented focus. Ability to handle cash and operate cash register. Knowledge of simple math and basic adding machine procedures. Ability to read, write and understand English fluently enough to perform the duties of the position. Ability to work effectively as a team member. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet standards and time demands.
