The primary purpose of the Student Assistant is to support the hospital’s efforts in protecting and promoting its brand, services, and community outreach initiatives. This role provides valuable hands‐on experience in healthcare marketing and communications, with key responsibilities including social media management, content creation, public relations, internal communications, and project coordination. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for healthcare, a strong interest in digital marketing, and the ability to contribute effectively to a fast‐paced, mission‐driven environment.
Current junior or senior in college majoring in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, English, Creative Writing, Health Administration, Journalism and Media Studies, Public Health, or other relevant areas of study.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter), as well as Microsoft Office. Experience with basic graphic design tools(e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) to create promotional materials,social media graphics, and digital ads. Resourceful and solutions focused.
Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and organizing. Excellent attention to detail.
Coursework or experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.
Knowledge of patient care services, medical terminology, and/or healthcare industry trends is beneficial but not required.
