Medical Technologist, Microbiology

The primary purpose of the Medical Technologist, Microbiology position is to independently
perform routine and complex laboratory analyses; assumes responsibility for procedural and system controls, problem solving, teaching
and supervision, under direction. Provides physicians with accurate and reliable analytical results necessary for the diagnosis/treatment
of patients.

• Performs patient tests and provides results to physicians
• Performs “STAT” Procedures
• Performs maintenance procedures for equipment and prepares, monitors reagent supplies
• Evaluates and reports results to appropriate personneL
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology; ASCP certification or equivalent preferred.
