About the Role
The primary function of the Physician Assistant position is to deliver medical care under the supervision of a licensed Attending Physician at University Hospital. Responsibilities include evaluating patients on the Inpatient General Medicine Service, conducting thorough physical examinations, and gathering comprehensive medical data such as patient histories and exam findings. The Physician Assistant is expected to practice ethically and in accordance with established standards of care for the profession.
What You’ll Do
Provides medical care under the supervision of a licensed Attending Physician at University Hospital
Evaluates patients on the Inpatient General Medicine Service
Performs comprehensive physical examinations
Collects and documents detailed patient medical data, including health histories and physical exam results
Delivers care in an ethical and professional manner in accordance with established Physician Assistant standards of practice
What You’ll Bring
Required:
Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science, Physician Assistant Studies, or a related field
Graduate of a Physician Assistant Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)
Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Licensed by the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners – Physician Assistant Advisory Committee
Prior clinical medicine experience preferred
Credential Requirements:
Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies
CAAHEP-accredited program completion
NCCPA certification

Compensation (NJ Job Transparency Law)
The expected salary for this position is ($70.00) per hour, in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
