CENTRAL STERILE TECHNICIAN I

The primary purpose of the Central Sterile Technician I position is to perform duties associated with collecting, receiving, cleaning, assembling, packaging, sterilizing and distribution of medical devices, equipment machines and supplies used to support patient care.

Ability to read, write, speak, understand, or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of the position. Two (2) years of experience in a Central Service or Operating Room environment required. New Jersey (NJ) accredited Central Service Certification is required for this position. The position requires renewal of IAHCSMM certification on an annual basis, which includes taking continuing education courses. Ability to operate basic computer systems (Windows) required.
