Overview

About the Role

The primary purpose of the Assistant Manager Business Services is  to provide administrative support to the Executive Director Facilities, Maintenance & Construction. This position has administrative responsibility for office management, including, but not limited to, fiscal matters, purchasing, coordination of reports, management of staff, etc.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do  

  • Coordinates fiscal procedures to ensure that expenditures are in accordance with allocation and reallocation of funds. Prepares justification for projected expenditures. Handles procurement processes to ensure compliance with procurement policies.
  • Knowledge of state contract or other group purchasing organizations to ensure compliance with purchasing requirements.
  • Supervises administrative support staff within the department and recommends hiring, firing, promoting, transfer, and discipline of employees. Completes performance evaluations for staff on a timely basis.
  • Service provided is team centered.
    • Actively contributes to creating a friendly, welcoming, and safe environment.
    • Communicates clearly to ensure understanding.
    • Organizes work process to accommodate the team’s needs, including internal customers and co-workers.
    • Acts as a role model for Service Excellence.
    • Maintains professional composure in the workplace.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Administration, Healthcare, or a related field required.
  • Three (3) years of progressively more responsible professional administrative support experience required, preferably in a healthcare environment or large business office.
  • Experience should include budget, procurement and purchasing responsibilities.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize activities is a must. One (1) year of supervisory experience required.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Additional related professional experience may be substituted for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
  • Must be computer proficient.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is VS/23S: $67,812 - $84,770 - $101,721, in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
