The primary purpose of the Patient Accounts Clerk II (PAC II) position is to perform receptionist, scheduling, and general office duties for UH – Inpatient Department. Ensures that pertinent information is collected and processed for
outpatients for record keeping and billing purposes and ensures that patients are aware of hospital admitting and billing policies and procedures. The PAC II is responsible for processing all patient information relevant to each patient’s service in an accurate and timely manner. Assists in the collection of monies received as well as compiling departmental statistics.
Three (3) years of general office/clerical experience involving billing activities with a detailed knowledge of insurance coverages in a physician or hospital setting. Knowledge of medical terminology required. Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
