Food Service Worker - Cold Production

About the Role

The primary purpose of the Food Service Worker (Cold Production) position is to prepare quality cold food items for Patient and Retail Services in a timely, cost-effective manner.

What You’ll Do  

• Prepares cold food items such as, but not limited to, cold plates, fruit bowls, desserts, salads, sandwiches, pre-prep and caterings for patients, staff, students, and visitors.
• Maintains proper food handling and storage to comply with Federal, State, and Local Health regulations, and standards as set forth by The Joint Commission.
• Maintains work area in an organized, clean, and sanitary manner.
• Works effectively with team to ensure customer service scores for work area meet/exceed targets.
• Properly uses knives, kitchen utensils, and equipment in a safe manner.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

Required:

A High School Diploma or GED certificate preferred. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English required.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is $ 16.49 –  $ 17.50 per hour, in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
