Neurophysiology Technologist I, Per Diem

About the Role

The primary purpose of the Neurophysiology Technologist I position is to conduct Electroencephalogram (EEG), Video EEG Monitoring, Ambulatory EEG Monitoring and Evoked Potential examinations. Learns to perform all other Neurophysiology tests (TCD, NCS and Intra-Operative Monitoring). Possesses the ability, education, training and/or expertise required of a Neurophysiology Technologist to meet the needs of patients of all ages (newborn to maturity).

What You’ll Do

• Conducts Electroencephalogram (EEG), Video EEG Monitoring, Ambulatory EEG Monitoring, and Evoked Potential studies.
• Develops proficiency in additional Neurophysiology procedures, including Transcranial Doppler (TCD), Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS), and Intraoperative Monitoring.
• Provides diagnostic testing services to patients across the lifespan, from newborns through adulthood.
• Applies specialized education, training, and technical expertise to ensure high-quality patient care and accurate test results.

What You’ll Bring

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an ABRET-accredited Neurodiagnostic Program required, or a minimum of one (1) year of clinical EEG experience.
• Performs neurodiagnostic testing utilizing specialized knowledge, training, and technical skills.
• Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Provides care and diagnostic services to patients across all age groups, from newborns through adulthood.
• Maintains the ability to meet the clinical needs of a diverse patient population.
• Available to work weekends and overtime as needed.
• Successfully completes and maintains annual Respirator Fit Testing requirements.

Compensation (NJ Job Transparency Law)

The expected hourly rate is  $27.00 per hour, in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law.
