Supplier Engagement Sourcer

About the Role

The Supplier Engagement Sourcer plays a pivotal role in identifying, engaging, and onboarding diverse and local suppliers to support University Hospital’s procurement objectives. This position focuses on expanding the supplier base, fostering relationships with potential vendors, and promoting inclusive procurement practices that align with the hospital's mission and values.

What You’ll Do   

• Identifies and researches potential diverse and local suppliers to broaden the hospital's vendor pool.
• Engages with prospective suppliers to communicate procurement opportunities and requirements.
• Coordinates outreach activities, including supplier fairs, workshops, and informational sessions.
• Assists suppliers in understanding and navigating the hospital's procurement processes.
• Maintains and update supplier databases, ensuring accurate records of engagement activities.
• Collaborates with internal departments to identify sourcing needs and match them with suitable suppliers.
• Monitors and report on supplier engagement metrics to assess outreach effectiveness.
• Supports initiatives aimed at increasing supplier diversity and inclusion within the procurement process.
• Stays informed about industry trends and best practices in supplier sourcing and engagement..
• Demonstrates knowledge of all Oral Maxillofacial/Dental procedures.

What You’ll Bring

Required:

• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in supplier sourcing, procurement, or community outreach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with procurement software systems.

Preferred

• Associate degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is PH/19B - $27.51 - $32.99 -$39.11 per hour, in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
