Overview

About the Role

The primary purpose of the Food Service Worker (Sanitation) position is to clean and sanitize all equipment, floors and walls in accordance to all Department of Health Regulations.  Adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Gathers and safely disposes of trash.
  • Records dish machine temperatures.
  • Cleans all kitchen equipment, inclusive of walls, tables, floors and pots.
  • Utilizes safety signs when cleaning spills and/or mopping floors.
  • Completes all daily job requirements in a timely fashion.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
  • Ability to read, write speak, and understand English fluently to perform the duties of the position required.
  • Effective verbal and written communications.
  • Customer service and hospitality- oriented.
  • Attention to detail with appropriate follow through.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member.
  • Ability to establish effective relationships within a multi-cultural environment.

Compensation (NJ Job Transparency Law)

In compliance with New Jersey’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is $16.49 - $17.50.
