About the Role
The main function of the Medical Records Technician (HIM Quality and Data Analytics) role is to generate, manage, and share daily reports across all areas of Health Information Management. This position also involves monitoring software performance, identifying issues, and communicating them to HIM leadership.

High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of clerical experience including receptionist and scheduling duties.
Experience in a medical office setting and billing preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic registration/medical record systems.
Strong customer service skills required.
Ability to multitask and communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
Bilingual in Spanish, Portuguese, or French preferred.
Handles difficult or emotional customer situations professionally.
Responds promptly to customer needs and feedback; meets service commitments.
Maintains confidentiality and listens actively; remains open to change.
Supports team spirit and contributes positively to team success.
Able to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Applies common sense to follow instructions and solve routine problems.
What We Offer
Compensation
In compliance with New Jersey’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly range for this position is TC1700:$24.62- $ $25.12- $ 25.87 per hour. University Hospital considers multiple factors when determining compensation, including (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s relevant work experience, education and training, key skills, internal equity, market data, and organizational needs.The expected salary range for this position is in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
