About the Role

The Systems Administrator for the ERP System is responsible for administering, maintaining, and supporting the organization’s ERP applications across the Finance, Human Resources, and Supply Chain Management modules. This role involves identifying, evaluating, analyzing, and recommending changes to optimize business processes and system functionality. The position supports the implementation of ERP enhancements, ensures seamless integration with related applications, and provides ongoing production maintenance and troubleshooting. The Systems Administrator also assists in planning, designing, developing, and configuring supported applications, while maintaining project plans and documentation. Additionally, the role includes developing and delivering user training, identifying process improvement opportunities, implementing approved enhancements, and ensuring systems remain compliant with University Hospital policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

ERP System Administration & Optimization

  • Ensures ERP applications operate accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with defined business rules.
  • Proactively develops reports, analyzes system data, and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and
  • Maintains scheduled reports, workflow notifications, dashboards, and modulespecific configurations.

User Support & Issue Resolution

  • Provides Tier2/3 support for ERPrelated issues, including user access, functionality, and data integrity.
  • Troubleshoots employee interface errors and resolves functional and scheduling issues.
  • Documents problem resolutions and communicate effectively with endusers and stakeholders.

System Maintenance & Configuration

  • Performs system configuration, reconfiguration, enhancements, upgrades, and quarterly Oracle Cloud update activities.
  • Defines test plans, creates scripts, and leads integration and user acceptance testing (UAT) for new features and patches.
  • Manages system access rights, maintains user roles and delegation profiles, and configures pay rules and accrual policies in collaboration with Finance and Payroll teams.

Security & Data Integrity

  • Conducts periodic user security and access audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory
  • Monitors data integrity within ERP modules and proactively resolves discrepancies or potential issues.

CrossFunctional Collaboration

  • Works closely with Finance, HR, Payroll, Supply Chain, and IT teams, as well as external vendors, to gather business requirements and support ERPrelated initiatives.
  • Participates in integration planning and ensures consistency with IST and UHNJ standards

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an ERP systems administrator or related enterprise application support.
  • Strong knowledge of the following ERP modules: Finance, HR, and Supply Chain. Handson experience with ERP security management, workflows, and system configurations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage quarterly ERP updates, patches, and testing cycles.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Equivalent education, experience, and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirement

Preferred:

  • Experience with Oracle ERP Cloud Systems and Oracle Security Administration Expertise in Oracle ERP reporting tools such as OTBI and BI Publisher preferred.
  • Familiarity with Oracle ERP integrations, APIs, and thirdparty system interfaces preferred.
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance and regulatory requirements affecting Finance and HR systems preferred.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or academic medical preferred.

Compensation

In compliance with New Jersey’s Pay Transparency Act, the salary range for this position is PS/30S - $89,754.00 - $108,480.00 - $129,432.00 per year. University Hospital considers multiple factors when determining compensation, including (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s relevant work experience, education and training, key skills, internal equity, market data, and organizational needs. The expected salary range for this position is in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
