Overview

About the Role

The Administrative Director is to provide comprehensive leadership of the administrative, clinical and community outreach functions for the Liver Transplant service line. Responsible for the program’s adherence to all policies,procedures and by-laws of the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS), and the Conditions of Participation promulgated by CMS and HRSA regulations. In conjunction with the COO and the Program Director for Liver Transplantation, develops strategic plans for business growth and development for the practice. Directs the staff at providing patient outreach and care as aligned with leading practices for transplant, and at achieving operational and clinical metrics as determined in collaboration with respective leaders for these areas. Ensures safe, efficient, and effective health care for individuals with end stage liver disease that may require liver transplantation, as well as treating those patients with complex hepatobiliary diseases.

What You’ll Do

 
  • Provides overall leadership and oversight of administrative, clinical, and community outreach operations for the Liver Transplant service line.
  • Ensures full compliance with all applicable UNOS policies, CMS Conditions of Participation, and HRSA regulations.
  • Partners with the COO and the Liver Transplant Program Director to develop and execute strategic plans that support growth and long-term program development.
  • Oversees staff performance to ensure effective patient outreach, high-quality care, and alignment with leading transplant practices.
  • Drives achievement of operational and clinical performance metrics in collaboration with organizational leadership.
  • Ensures the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality care for patients with end-stage liver disease and complex hepatobiliary conditions, including those requiring liver transplantation.

 

 

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Care, Business Administration, or a related field required (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of business and management experience in a healthcare environment, preferably within an academic hospital setting
  • Proven multidisciplinary leadership experience overseeing transplant program operations
  • Thorough knowledge of regulations, principles, practices, and procedures related to organ donation, recovery, and transplantation
  • Working knowledge of the procedures and by-laws of the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of insurance reimbursement and negotiation processes

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is MS/34S-Min $117,217 /Max $189,564 per year in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
