The primary purpose of the Clinical Pharmacist Specialist (Infectious Disease/Antimicrobial Stewardship) position is to optimize the outcomes of patients receiving antimicrobial therapy by providing patient-directed antimicrobial stewardship as a member of an interdisciplinary team or as an independent clinician.
Candidate must possess a Pharm. D. degree from an accredited school of Pharmacy. Completion of ASHP-accredited Post Graduate Year 1 (PGY-1) Pharmacy Practice Residency is required. Completion of Infectious Diseases Post Graduate Year 2 (PGY-2) Pharmacy Practice Residency or equivalent clinical experience is preferred. Board Certified Infectious Diseases Pharmacist® (BCIDP), SIDP Antimicrobial Stewardship Certification, or similar Infectious Disease or Antimicrobial Stewardship certification preferred.
