The primary purpose of the Clinical Care Coordinator position is to serve as the coordinator and practitioner of the clinic’s healthcare team(s) within the Department, utilizing specialized knowledge of chemotherapy and radiation procedures, skills, and competencies in behavioral sciences, education counseling, and/or patient care management/outcome management. Develops patient programs and course curricula based on needs assessments; plans and coordinates the delivery of comprehensive services to patients in collaboration with all professional components of Outpatient Oncology Services and in accordance with accepted standards of care and department protocols.


Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or a related health care field. A Master’s Degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration, Public Health, or a related field is preferred. A minimum of three (3) years of full-time experience in a hospital-based practice are required, preferably in Oncology. Effective team leadership and interpersonal skills are required. Must hold CPR certification and obtain ACLS certification within six (6) months of hire. Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)/ONCC Provider Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate and/or Radiation Therapy Certificate required or must be obtained within the first ninety (90) days of employment. All certifications must be maintained throughout employment. Candidate with national Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification preferred.
