About the Role
The Emergency Medical Technician is responsible for delivering pre-hospital Basic Life Support (BLS) to patients of all ages and backgrounds in all weather conditions. Working under the supervision of an EMS Supervisor and alongside other EMS personnel, the EMT assesses, treats, lifts, and transports patients using appropriate equipment and techniques. Certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of New Jersey. Three (3) years of nursing experience in Emergency Department, Critical Care, Medical/Surgical or Perioperative services required. One (1) year of experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse in Emergency, Critical Care, Adult or Family preferred. Demonstrates effective leadership competencies to be carried out in the day-to-day activities of the department. One (1) year of supervisory/managerial experience preferred. Board Certified Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (ACHPN) required. BLS (CPR) required. Computer literacy required.
