The primary purpose of the Ambulatory Care Technician Certified position is to support the patient and the provider throughout the ambulatory care patient visit from registration through discharge and follow up.

As directed by a Physician and University Hospital policy, the Ambulatory Care Technician Certified administers intramuscular and subcutaneous injections which may be delegated under State regulations. Support all front end and clinical office procedures.

The primary purpose of the Blood Bank Technologist position is to assume responsibility for maintaining blood/blood product inventory, daily temperature quality control of designated refrigerators, thawing fresh frozen plasma,
aliquoting blood for pediatric patients, logging in blood/blood products, issuing blood/blood products, performing clerical duties, answering phones and communicating needs to staff under the direction of the Chief technologist.
