The primary purpose of the Blood Bank Technologist position is to assume responsibility for maintaining blood/blood product inventory, daily temperature quality control of designated refrigerators, thawing fresh frozen plasma, aliquoting blood for pediatric patients, logging in blood/blood products, issuing blood/blood products, performing clerical duties, answering phones and communicating needs to staff under the direction of the Chief technologist.
